The Afribabah Journey
Afribabah was born from a simple yet powerful desire: to create a bridge between Africa and the UAE through authentic food products that tell the story of Africa’s rich culinary heritage.
Our founder, a passionate food enthusiast with deep roots in West Africa, moved to Dubai and quickly realized that finding authentic African ingredients was a challenge. What began as a personal quest to recreate the flavors of home soon evolved into a mission to share these treasures with others.
The name “Afribabah” combines “Africa” with “babah” (meaning “gateway” in several African dialects), symbolizing our role as a gateway to African flavors and traditions.
Today, we work directly with producers across Africa to bring you the most authentic, high-quality products, supporting local communities while sharing the continent’s culinary wealth with food lovers in the Diaspora.
